DENTAL EXAM & CLEANING

Keeping a regular preventative maintenance schedule with Dr. Bang helps you prevent not only tooth decay and periodontal disease but also avoid costly procedures and extra time in the hygiene chair.

A regular dental visit is important because they help keep your teeth and gums healthy. According to the American Dental Association, they recommend you to visit your dentist at least 6 months. If you need additional help, your dentist Dr. Bang may even suggest more frequent visit.

What happened during a dental exam & cleaning?

At the dental exam, Dr. Bang will start his exam by 

  • Examining your face and neck

  • Examining your tongue and roof of your mouth

  • Checking your lymph nodes and lower jaw joints

Dr. Bang will check for cavities and periodontal diseases. Moreover, Dr. Bang will check for broken teeth, damaged fillings, and contact between your teeth. Furthermore, X-rays will be taken to detect cavities and check bone levels around your teeth.

After thorough exam by Dr. Bang, he will clean your teeth by using special tools called Cavitron. During the cleaning, plaques and tartar buildup will be removed and your teeth will be polished at the end. Once your examination and cleaning have been performed, Dr. Bang will tell your about the health of your teeth and gum and then he will make any additional recommendations.
